The land at 2001 Waldeck Road in Ledbetter, Texas has long been rooted in stewardship, community, and purpose. Originally known as Cooper Farm, the property served for generations as working agricultural land before transitioning to the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) in the early 2000s. In 2010, the Slovanská Podporující Jednota Státu Texas (SPJST) established Camp Kubena, where for more than a decade children and families gathered for youth development and outdoor education. Named in honor of J. R. Kubena—former Texas State Representative and Mayor of Fayetteville—the camp reflected a lasting commitment to service and future generations.
Today, the property enters a new chapter as Diamond Oaks Ranch—a destination that honors its rich history while thoughtfully expanding its purpose for generations to come.
Diamond Oaks Ranch is shaped by families, coaches, and former high-level athletes who deeply understand the youth sports journey. With decades of experience spent traveling to tournaments and sharing weekends on fields and in stands, this perspective informs a carefully considered approach—one that elevates both the game and the time families spend together.
While baseball remains central, with an uncompromising standard for competition, facilities, and operations, the experience extends far beyond the field. When one child competes, the whole family is welcomed. Siblings are invited to explore and engage. Parents are offered inviting spaces, quality dining, and opportunities to unwind, connect, and enjoy the setting. Weekends are designed to leave families refreshed and fulfilled, not rushed or fatigued.
Every detail at Diamond Oaks Ranch is intentional. From curated food and beverage offerings to thoughtfully designed gathering spaces and opportunities to disconnect and recharge, the environment is crafted to encourage presence and connection. The goal is not merely to host events, but to create an elevated retreat where families can truly enjoy being together.
Baseball here represents more than competition. Excellence matters. Development matters. But the game is also a platform for instilling values—discipline, resilience, leadership, confidence, and respect—that extend well beyond the field.
Blending a longstanding tradition of outdoor learning and community with a refined, family-first vision, Diamond Oaks Ranch is a place where children can grow, families can reconnect, and nature remains an enduring teacher—all within a setting defined by care, quality, and intention.
