Diamond Oaks Ranch Pick Up Teams give individual players and partial teams the opportunity to compete in a true tournament environment at one of the most unique baseball destinations in Texas. Designed for players looking for extra competition, development, and exposure, Pick Up Teams provide a fun, high-energy baseball experience while maximizing playing time and instruction.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
SIGNING UP IS EASY!
- Visit the Event Registration section of our website.
- Select the tournament you’d like to attend.
- Click Register and choose the Free Agent (Ranchers Pickup Player) registration option.
- Complete your registration.
Once registered, you’ll be prompted to create a LeagueApps account, which is required for all player communication.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE COMMUNICATION?
All player communication is handled through the LeagueApps Play app.
Within the app you’ll receive:
- Team assignments
- Tournament schedules
- Brackets
- Important event updates
Schedules and final team placements are released on the Wednesday before each tournament. Please check the LeagueApps Play app for your game times and team information.
What if my age division doesn’t make?
While we work hard to form teams in every age group, there may occasionally not be enough players.
If this happens, you’ll have the option to:
- Play up in the next eligible age division (if available), or
- Receive a credit toward any future Ranchers Pickup event.
Your credit never expires and can be used at the event of your choice.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Players should arrive one hour before their first scheduled game.
Upon arrival:
- Report to the batting cages to meet your coaches and teammates.
- Open the LeagueApps Play app and check in for the event.
This gives players time to warm up, receive instructions, and prepare for game time.
UNIFORM INFORMATION
Pickup player jerseys can be picked up at Mercantile Oaks when you arrive.
Saturday:
- Black Ranchers jersey
- White baseball pants
- Black socks
- Black belt
Sunday:
- Mint Ranchers jersey
- White baseball pants
- Black socks
- Black belt
Players may wear any baseball hat.
Discounted Diamond Oaks Ranchers mint and green hats are available for purchase at Mercantile Oaks for players who would like the complete Ranchers look.
HOW ARE TEAMS CREATED?
Teams are filled first come, first served as registrations are received.
If multiple Ranchers teams are formed during the same tournament weekend, players will be assigned to teams based on roster needs and registration order.
To keep teams balanced and provide the best experience for everyone, friend or teammate requests cannot be accommodated when multiple Ranchers teams are participating.
RETURNING RANCHERS PLAYERS
Welcome back!
If you’ve previously played with the Ranchers and already have your jerseys, there’s no need to purchase another set.
Simply use the Returning Player Discount Code included in your previous registration confirmation email when registering for your next event.

VOLUNTEER COACHES
Parents interested in helping coach a Pickup Team are encouraged to volunteer! Volunteer coaches receive:
- FREE player registration for their child and
- FREE park admission for the tournament weekend
