Professionalism: Be professional, impartial, respectful, and hustle every pitch. Umpires represent Diamond Oaks Ranch at all times.

Pre-Game: Arrive at least 30 minutes before your first game. Check in with the UIC/Tournament Director, inspect the field, meet with your partner, and conduct a brief plate meeting.

Uniform: Wear the required Diamond Oaks umpire uniform. Plate umpires must wear full protective equipment.

Game Administration: Keep games moving, enforce tournament rules and time limits, and communicate professionally. Only head coaches may request rule interpretations.

Sportsmanship: Apply warnings and ejections consistently. Never argue with coaches, players, or spectators. Request assistance from Tournament Management when necessary.

Ejections: Report all ejections immediately following the game with the name (if known), inning, and reason. The Tournament Director determines any additional disciplinary action.

Weather: Suspend play immediately when directed by Tournament Management or when lightning protocols are activated. Resume play only when authorized.

Authority & Jurisdiction: Diamond Oaks umpires are responsible for officiating the game and maintaining order on the playing field and immediate dugout areas during the game.

Umpires may Enforce OBR and Diamond Oaks Tournament Rules, issue warnings and ejections from the playing area, and maintain a safe game environment.

Umpires may not Remove guests from the property, cancel lodging reservations, restrict access to ranch amenities, or enforce property policies outside the playing venue.

Guests ejected from a game may remain on the property if they are registered guests unless Diamond Oaks Management directs otherwise. If an ejected individual refuses to leave the playing area or presents an ongoing safety concern, suspend play if necessary and notify the Tournament Director immediately. Only Diamond Oaks Management may remove guests from the property or revoke facility privileges.

Interactions with Guests Outside the Playing Area
Once a game has concluded or an individual has left the playing area, umpires should avoid engaging in disputes or confrontations. Concerns involving parking lots, lodging, restaurants, pools, common areas, or any other part of the ranch must be referred to Tournament Management. Umpires are not responsible for resolvingoff-field disputes or enforcing facility policies.

Umpires officiate the game. Diamond Oaks Management manages the property.

Pace of Play: Encourage teams to hustle, minimize delays, and keep inning changes efficient.

Game Reports: Verify the final score and report scores, ejections, injuries, protests, and unusual incidents immediately after each game.

Workload: Maximum 6 games/day for 90–100 minute games and 7 games/day for 75-minute games. Umpires not meeting Diamond Oaks standards may be removed from future assignments.
